Baliyo Ventures
Sister V1

Overview

Sister V1 is a manually operated robot developed by Baliyo Ventures in collaboration with RAN, Team Robonauts, Kantibir, and Oztec during the COVID-19 pandemic. Built in just 20 days using locally sourced materials, it was deployed at Hetauda Hospital to deliver food and medicine to patients in isolation, reducing health workers’ exposure and PPE usage.

The robot features a 12V 8000mAh battery with a 2-hour runtime, a load capacity of 40kg, FPV camera for live navigation, and remote control functionality within 500 meters. It is user-friendly and stable, designed for smooth operation on flat surfaces.

Despite early challenges, Sister V1 proved effective, inspiring future iterations with improved features. The project was supported by Nepal Engineers' Association, Sagarmatha Engineering College, and RECAST. Sister V1 stands as a proud example of Baliyo Ventures’ mission to deliver practical, local innovations that safeguard communities and strengthen healthcare systems.

When the world paused, we built. Sister V1 is our commitment to keep moving forward with purpose and compassion.
